oral surgeryWe perform oral surgery at Amherst Dental including extractions and many types of impacted third molars (wisdom teeth). While we do not offer general anesthesia where the patient is rendered unconscious, we do have Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) that sedates and keeps you comfortable. Also, the recovery time for nitrous oxide is 10-15 minutes compared to 24 hours for general anesthesia. In special situations we may refer you to one of the fine oral surgeons in the area. If you have any questions about having teeth removed, please call and ask for a consultation with Dr. Barry Winnick. |
